Forgiveness and Regret
For the first time, Peter apologized to the sheep from the bottom of his heart. Though he couldn’t put it into words, he felt something deep within his chest begin to unravel. He had thought he was protecting them, but in truth, he had protected nothing. He had noticed something was wrong, yet lacked the courage to intervene. That deep regret flowed down his cheeks as hot tears.
