The Morning of the Anomaly
On a foggy Georgia morning, Jack, a gardener, headed out to make his rounds of the swamp, a routine he has followed for 20 years. His secret pleasure was to check on Snow, the noble swan. But something was different this morning. As soon as he approached, Snow spread his wings violently, threatening me with a ferocity I had never seen before. Deep in the nest, mixed among the white eggs, was an alien object. The blood drained from Jack’s face when he saw it. With trembling fingers, he pulled out his cell phone and began to call someone. What in the world did Jack see? And who is he calling now?
