Obsession with Caves
Six years ago, that sheep appeared to be a perfectly ordinary animal. Its build was average, and its coat and health showed no abnormalities. Only one thing was terribly unnatural: its persistent habit of trying to head deeper into the cave whenever it got the chance. No matter how many times it was driven back, it would return to the same spot after some time had passed. Watching this, Peter at the time didn’t give it much thought. Was it mere carelessness? Or did he notice something yet choose to look the other way?
