Non-standard gifts
To their surprise, a “brand new big house” large enough to raise seven children was given to the family in its entirety. In addition, local retired carpenters volunteered to build a huge custom-made table in the dining room of the new house that comfortably seats all nine of them. A large swing set was also installed in the yard to provide a safe environment for the children to run around. The goodwill of the entire community came together to save the couple from the biggest crisis they had ever faced.
