An Altered World
Over the past year, more than 200,000 people from around the world visited the zoo to see Hope. Children’s eyes lit up at the sight of the pure white giraffe, while adults learned about the reality of endangered species. Donations to the zoo’s conservation programs increased five-fold over the previous year. Hope’s presence touched the hearts of many. Jessica is now teaching new zookeepers how to care for Hope. A new generation is growing up. Hope has indeed become hope. As Mike named her, she has brought hope.
