Frozen examination room

After an emergency transport to the shelter, there was a heavy silence in Miller’s examination room. On the examination table, a newborn juvenile was emitting a low growl and was acutely alert to its surroundings. Miller examined the animal closely through protective gloves and found traces of a “special subcutaneous chip” in the young’s skin that had been applied by a smuggling ring for management purposes. This was not a natural stray, but living proof that it had been forcibly brought here by human greed.
