The day after Emily was discharged from the hospital. Convinced of his wife’s infidelity, her mother strongly advised James to divorce her, and he was packing his bags to leave. Deep down, however, he wanted to believe his wife, and he was not sure if he could really leave the house. It was then that he found a picture that had suddenly fallen out of his pocket, perhaps caught in something. It was a young black man. As long as it was not James’, he could only assume it was Emily’s. He grabbed the photo with trembling hands and went to his wife.
